International Photography Awards – IPA. Considered among other photo competitions as a kind of photo Oscars, one of the three most prestigious.
I shared here a partial, but for me very significant achievement – all five photographs made it to the shortlist „IPA Selection“, from which the really best of the best were selected.
And the final result? 2x Honorable mention in the categories „Press – Personality“ with Chap the Clown and „People – Other“ with the beautiful burlesque of King Verena Jez.
And did I win anything? Not first place. But second/silver place yes!
In the „Press – Personality“ category for a photo of Chapa the Clown from Circus Humberto, taken this February. A magical experience in the backstage chapitó turned into a truly magical result, which makes me very happy and I’m looking forward to presenting the photo to Chap in Prague in October. And also to the IPA awards ceremony and last but not least to the announcement of the cities where the photos of this year’s winners will be displayed during the 12 months until the 2025 edition is announced…
